Missions | Jobs for Life
Giving food, donating clothing, and assisting with housing are important but what if we could help people break out of the cycle of poverty?
Over the past year our Missions Ministry has been exploring options to impact the community in a long-term strategic way. We are excited to share that we have chosen the Work Life class, from the Jobs for Life program. The 8-week program is a biblically-based curriculum that provides job readiness training as well as a support strategy to help people be successful at work and at life.
We look forward to working with our local partnerships (New Hope Fellowship, the Lamb Center and Western Fairfax Christian Ministries) to come alongside people who are unemployed or underemployed. As they refer clients, we will walk with them on the journey toward employment.
In order to begin our first Jobs For Life class, we need to put several important pieces together. We need mentors, teachers, and professional coaches. If you are a business manager or owner, would you be willing to consider working with us to help someone step into financial health.
